Our story started all the way back in middle school — during group projects, where it was definitely more than just academic collaboration (at least for Daisy, who had a full-on crush).Fast forward to freshman year: Daisy strategically signed up for German so she’d have an excuse to ask Nick for help. Safe to say she got Nick's attention.They became “official” when Daisy started wearing Nick’s football jersey on Friday nights — yes, the American Dream.They dated all through high school, cheering each other on through every sports season, car ride, and late-night crisis.Even when college sent them in different directions — Daisy to UVM and Nick to RPI — they stayed strong, navigating years of long distance. Daisy became an honorary lax bro, while Nick turned into a Burlington Bagel and Foam Brewing enthusiast.After 3 years together, 5 years of long distance, and now almost 2 years of living together…We’re finally getting married!

Located in Wilmington and within 22 miles of Bennington Battle Monument, The Vermont House features a shared lounge, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring a concierge service, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. Guest rooms at the inn are equipped with a seating area. Each room has a coffee machine and a private bathroom with a shower and free toiletries, while selected rooms come with a kitchen equipped with a fridge. At The Vermont House, the rooms come with air conditioning and a flat-screen TV. Guests at the accommodation will be able to enjoy activities in and around Wilmington, like hiking, skiing and fishing. Stratton Mountain is 25 miles from The Vermont House, while Bennington Museum is 21 miles away. Albany International Airport is 58 miles from the property. First come first serve when booking. There is a 2 night minimum stay. One month before wedding blocked rooms will be released to the public. Use Code 3101 when booking!

The Vermont House

Located in Wilmington, 22 miles from Bennington Battle Monument, The Wilmington Inn provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. 25 miles from Stratton Mountain and 21 miles from Bennington Museum, the property has ski storage space, as well as a bar. Free WiFi and a concierge service are provided. At the inn, every room is equipped with a closet. Complete with a private bathroom equipped with a shower and free toiletries, guest rooms at The Wilmington Inn have a flat-screen TV and air conditioning, and selected rooms have a balcony. You can play darts at the accommodation, and the area is popular for hiking and skiing. Southern Vermont College is 22 miles from The Wilmington Inn, while Bennington College is 24 miles away. Albany International Airport is 58 miles from the property.

Wilmington has more than a dozen restaurants offering eclectic culinary options, quirky, independent shopping opportunities, and a variety of lodging choices. Wilmington is also a playground for outdoor adventurers and nature lovers in every season.

You can access the fire tower on top of Mount Olga by parking at Molly Stark State Park (fee area) and hiking a 1.5-mile loop that brings you to the top of Mount Olga and then down the campground. It’s one of the easiest fire tower hikes in Vermont! You can also access the fire tower from behind Metcalf’s Distillery if you’re already parked at the 100-mile view.

Beer Naked Brewery

This 5-mile (round-trip) trail provides a moderate woodland hike with stunning views from the top of the mountain. The hardest part might just be finding the trailhead, which is in a subdivision with roads and houses that all look the same. If you click on the link above, you’ll find directions. Follow them exactly, and you shouldn’t have a problem.
